KEEL Vodka: The Skinny Mule

I’m kinda tired of winter. For me the novelty of the season usually fades away sometime in late January. I would never trade in the changing seasons for a life of perpetual summer, but for some reason this time of year can wear on me.

I’m kinda tired of tripping on everyone’s ski gear in my garage.

I’m kinda tired of my death trap driveway.

And I’m kinda tired of looking at our Christmas lights on the front porch. (Yes, that’s right. They’re still up… and we haven’t even bothered to take them off the timer. I’ve come to realize that my husband rejects the idea of ever living in a neighborhood for two distinct reasons: so he doesn’t have to walk ALL the way into the house to pee, and so he can neglect his Christmas light removal obligations until early Spring.)

In an effort to keep a positive attitude during the last lingering weeks of winter I turn to my friend vodka… KEEL Vodka. Because while the thought of warmer weather, planting my garden, and opening the pool should be enough to get me through, it’s not. Sometimes a gal just needs a deliciously refreshing premium light spirit to take the edge off of those winter woes.

The Moscow Mule is  such a great winter cocktail. If you agree, you’ll love this version of the classic made with the lightest spirit on the market, KEEL Vodka.

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz KEEL Vodka
  • 0.5 oz fresh lime juice
  • 4 oz ginger beer
  • 1 lime wedge
  • sprig of mint

Since KEEL is so incredibly smooth, you can play around with these measurements (I think you know where I’m going with this).

How to:

  1. Pour KEEL Vodka and lime juice into a chilled ice-filled copper mug.
  2. Top off with ginger beer.
  3. Garnish with lime wedge and a sprig of mint.

A big THANK YOU to my dear friend Kelli for these adorable copper mugs. I heart them, and I heart you!

Cheers and Stay Balanced!
