Last Minute Gift Ideas: These are a few of my favorite things

I planned on posting this Last Minute Gift Ideas  list a few days ago, but as it often does, life happened…

Tia

You know how they say dogs shouldn’t eat chocolate? Well, they shouldn’t. Apparently Tia had a field day under our kitchen table last weekend while we decorated gingerbread houses. The result? Pancreatitis. And now our sweet little girl has taken up residence at Tufts Animal Hospital. It’s been a scary few days, but we’re hoping to have the world’s most lovable dog back home tomorrow!

So here we have it: My last minute, Last minute Gift Ideas list. This list actually is a few of my favorite things, so if you’re still looking for that perfect gift for that special someone, I hope you find it here.

P.S. Just click on the pink text to purchase items. And just for the record, I am not being paid to suggest these items, and I never talk about products I don’t truly love. So, I promise these items rock!

  1.  Jesus Calling. Jesus Calling I LOVE this book! Not only is it one of the best gifts I’ve ever received, it’s one of my favorite gifts to give. I can say with certainty that these short daily devotionals have gotten me through a lot over the years and I would recommend it to anyone. This book is phenomenal.
  2. Say Anything Family Edition Say Anything This award winning board game is one of our family’s favorite! It always has us cracking up, and is a fun way to get everyone interacting. Perfect to send as a gift for an entire family!
  3. Steaks from E3 Meat Co.   E3Personally, I don’t eat meat at all. My husband however, both loves it and is very particular about where it comes from. If he can’t hunt it himself, Matt wants his meat to come exclusively from the E3 Ranch. Besides being ridiculously tasty (so, I’ve heard) E3 is known for their “Responsibly Raised Beef” and I love the idea of serving my family steroid, hormone, and antibiotic free beef. We also love supporting this family owned and run company with values and beliefs similar to our own. They have great gift package options for all the folks on your shopping list. If you’re going to go this route you may want to order quickly to get gifts to your loved ones (or yourselves) in time for Christmas… or send as a New Years treat!
  4. Lush Wrapped Gift Sets Lush Gift SetI love this company! If you’ve never walked into a LUSH store before, I would highly recommend it. These freshly handmade, all-natural beauty products smell incredible and are great for both kids and adults. They always have plenty of fun gift sets wrapped and ready to go! Don’t have access to a store? Check out their site… they make it so easy to pick out the perfect gift set.
  5. Martin Sexton, Camp Holiday Martin SextonThe only thing we love more here in the Light house than Martin Sexton, is our Christmas music, and this album combines the two! If you’ve never listened to Martin before… do it. Trust me. You won’t find a more talented singer/songwriter/musician anywhere. Ever. You’re welcome.
  6. Teaderman Wine Teaderman Have you ever received a bottle of wine as a gift and thought, “What the heck am I going to do with this wine?”. Of course not! Wine is a universal crowd pleaser. Teaderman would be my recommendation if you want to splurge, but if you’re looking for a more budget friendly and convenient option, swing through your local wine shop and ask for Decoy Wine. Both are phenomenal, quality wines!
  7. Purdue Stocking Ornament Purdue ornamnetOk, so maybe not everyone would be thrilled to find a Purdue ornament under the tree this year. But, personally I think Christmas tree ornaments are one of the most underrated gift options out there. It’s easy, relevant, and always appreciated… unless the ornament is from your husband. Husbands… don’t give your wife a Christmas tree ornament and say that “Susie said she would love it”. This kind of gift is for the host of your neighborhood holiday party. Your child’s teacher, perhaps.. but for the love of Christmas, not your wife.

Now, do yourself a favor and finish up that shopping! You owe it to yourself to wrap it all up and enjoy the last week of this beautiful season!! In a few days, I’ve got a treat for you… a delicious KEEL Vodka recipe to serve next weekend!!
